Kim Fields is pregnant with her second child at 44. The former "Facts of Life" star made the announcement this week on the daytime talk-show "The Real," which will air next week.
Fields and her husband Christopher Morgan, 37, have been trying to conceive for quite a while, she admitted on the show. The pair previously suffered two miscarriages.

The boy, the couple’s second child, will be named Quincy Xavier, Fields said.
"Sebastian [her 6-year-old son] and Christopher are very excited. We’re very, very blessed," Fields told the all female panel of co-hosts on "The Real,"
in a clip on People magazine’s website.
"It was planned. We’ve actually been trying for a couple years," Fields added. "We had gotten pregnant twice and [miscarried]. ... Chris and I were very blessed to really have one another, to have our family and friends and our God to really get us through that."
Fields explained how she found out.
"Our son got sick with a stomach virus and I caught it. And Chris said, 'No, babe, you’re a little sicker than Sebastian. You need to go and get that checked out’ and I said, 'OK.' They tested me and said, 'Oh honey, you’re not dehydrated. You’re two months pregnant,'" she recalled.
Fields is best known for her role as Dorothy "Tootie" Ramsey on the NBC sitcom, "Facts of Life," which aired from 1979 to 1988. She played a gossipy adolescent who stays at an all-girl boarding school in Peekskill, N.Y.
Fields acted in a variety of other television shows, including "Living Single" and "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air."
Most recently, she played a social worker in a 2012 comedy, ironically titled "What to Expect When You're Expecting."
With her announcement,
Fields joins actress Halle Berry in Hollywood’s baby-after-40 club, MSN News reported.
The Academy Award-winning Berry, 46, announced she was pregnant with her second child earlier this year.
Fields, who is expected to give birth in December, told the women of "The Real" that she doesn’t consider herself to be a "poster child for over 40 and pregnant" women; however, she hopes that her story will be encouraging to others who are struggling to have a baby.
