Kirstie Alley Sitcom Canceled on TV Land After One Season

TV Land has canceled Kirstie Alley’s sitcom "Kirstie" after just one season.

The show featured Alley as Broadway star Madison Banks, Rhea Perlman as her assistant and best friend, Michael Richards as her driver, and Eric Petersen as her son who is reconnecting with her after being put up for adoption.

The show’s creator, Marco Pennette, left the series after the first season for personal reasons.

“Kirstie” premiered in December 2013 and ended in February.

Alley is best known for her role as Rebecca Howe on "Cheers," which also starred Perlman. She is set to appear as Aunt Rita in the upcoming film, "Nailed."

Alley tweeted on Monday.
