Kylie Jenner has pocketed $420 million in retail sales since she launched her cosmetics line Life of Kylie in November 2015, her mother Kris Jenner told Women's Wear Daily last week during an interview in Los Angeles.
WWD noted that the younger Jenner's company could become a billion dollar fashion company by 2020 if growth of Life of Kylie continues at its current pace. Kylie Jenner said she has ideas for how she wants to continue growing.
"I do want stores, my own store," Kylie Jenner told WWD about her future plans. "I think it's time people walk into a store and see Kylie Cosmetics."
Through Kyliecosmetics.com, the initial line made just 5,000 units each of her three original lip kits, which became Kylie Cosmetics, the Jenners told WWD. Three months later, they upped production to 500,000 units in six shades, noted WWD. Now, 300,000 units are made for each product, noted the publication.
WWD said Kylie Cosmetics is on pace for a 25 percent increase in sales for 2017, putting sales projections at $386 million.
Kylie Jenner shared the digital cover of WWD featuring her and Kris Jenner on Instagram.
Kylie Jenner, the youngest daughter of Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, has participated in photo shoots with well-known photographer Nick Saglimbeni, modeled for Forever 21 and Avril Lavigne's clothing line, and hosted several red carpet events, Hello magazine said.
