Kylie and Kendall Jenner discontinued their vintage T-shirt collection after public backlash.

The range was unveiled on Wednesday but the designs, which featured the Jenner sisters' faces superimposed over artwork featuring musical acts such as Notorious BIG, Tupac Shakur and Pink Floyd, drew immediate criticism.

By Thursday, the T-shirt's that retailed for $125 had been pulled from the site, noted Fox News.

The Guardian reported that a lawyer for Notorious BIG’s estate had threatened legal action should the collection not be discontinued.

Meanwhile, the rapper’s mother, Voletta Wallace, reprimanded the Jenner sisters on social media, calling their actions "disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at its worst."

Joining the backlash was Sharon Osbourne.

The Jenners' T-shirt collection included images of Ozzy Osbourne, and the rockstar’s wife was quick to criticise the sisters, posting on Twitter, "you haven’t earned the right to put your face with musical icons."

In an attempt to diffuse the situation, an apology was issued on behalf of Kylie and Kendall.

Taking to social media, Kendall said the designs were not well thought out.

"We deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially the families of the artists," she tweeted. "We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry."
