“Last Man Standing,” cancelled after six seasons for suspicious reasons as far as conservative fans are concerned, has brought a Twitter storm down on ABC and now a petition is calling for people to boycott the network completely.

Deputy Matt launched the online petition at change.org to save the sitcom, which stars conservative Tim Allen, according to The Wrap.

According to the petition “Save Tim Allen’s Show ‘Last Man Standing,’” the ABC comedy was taken off the air because it “stands out in the sea of network television sitcoms.”

“It is a show that appeals to a broad swath of Americans who find very few shows that extol the virtues with which they can identify; namely conservative values,” the petition says.

“’Last Man Standing’ is one of the only shows on broadcast television, and the only sitcom, that is not constantly shoving liberal ideals down the throats of the viewers. And sadly, that is likely the real reason the show has been cancelled.”

The show had been on the “bubble” for the past few years, despite maintaining good ratings, according to International Business Times.

Allen’s expensive paycheck is said to have played a factor in the show’s cancellation, and for the last few years ABC and 20th Century Fox have not seen eye-to-eye on who should take care of the licensing fees.

However, many fans of the show also on social media don’t believe that was the real issue.
