Just weeks after her dramatic departure from Scientology, Leah Remini is reportedly joining the cast of the upcoming season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
According to TMZ, Remini will pair up with a professional dancer to compete for the Disco Ball trophy on the 17th season of the wildly popular competitive reality dancing series.
The former "King of Queens" star, 43, hinted at her new project last month at a benefit in Malibu.

"I'm deciding to do something right now and we'll know in the next week," she told reporters. "It will be television. It might be in the reality, sitcom world."
The actress, a longtime Scientologist, left the religion last month after she was reportedly subject to interrogation and thought modification after questioning leader David Miscavige about the whereabouts of his wife Shelly.
"No one is going to tell me how I need to think, no one is going to tell me who I can, and cannot, talk to," Remini told People about her reason for leaving the controversial religion widely seen as a cult.
Earlier this month, Remini filed a missing persons report for Shelly Miscavige, whom the actress said hadn't been seen in years, but the Los Angeles Police Department dismissed it, saying the claim was "unfounded."
Other rumored "DWTS" cast members include Elizabeth Berkley from "Saved By the Bell," reality star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, singer Christina Milian, and actress Amber Riley.
The official cast announcement will be made Sept. 4 on "Good Morning America," and Season 17 will premiere Sept. 16.
