U.S. military action against Libya continued into its 60th day today. The War Powers Act requires presidents to gain congressional approval for military attacks within 60 days or pull out our troops within the next 30 days. But most congressmen aren’t making any noise over the issue,

The House is in recess, and the Senate is unlikely to deal with the issue this week, says Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin, D-Mich.
To be sure, six Senate Republicans, led by Rand Paul, R-Ky., aren’t remaining silent on the issue.
They wrote a letter to President Barack Obama questioning what he’s going to do.
“Friday is the final day of the statutory 60-day period for you to terminate the use of the United States Armed Forces in Libya under the War Powers Resolution,” reads the letter, spearheaded by Sen. Paul.
“As recently as last week your administration indicated use of the United States Armed Forces will continue indefinitely.”
The other Senate Republicans who signed the letter are Mike Lee, Utah; Jim DeMint, S.C.; Ron Johnson, Wis.; Tom Coburn, Okla.; and John Cornyn, Texas.
