Some packages of Entenmann’s Little Bites are being recalled after small bits of plastic were found in the snacks.

The products voluntarily recalled by Bimbo Bakeries USA include Entenmann’s Little Bites Fudge Brownies, Chocolate Chip Muffins, and Variety Pack, distributed to stories during the past two weeks, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. They include the code number 3098 printed next to the "Best by" date.

The plastic poses a "choking and/or cutting hazard," the FDA said, noting that one injury was reported.

The affected products are being removed from store shelves, and consumers who have purchased them are urged to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The contamination was caused by a manufacturing failure at a contract bakery in Illinois, CNBC reported.

The affected products are as follows:

• Entenmann’s Little Bites Fudge Brownies – 5 pack (Net Weight 9.75 oz.), best by Oct. 8, UPC 7203001342
• Entenmann’s Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins – 5 pack (Net Weight 8.25 oz.), best by Oct. 8, UPC 7203001353
• Entenmann’s Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins – 10 pack (Net Weight 1 lb. 0.5 oz.), best by Oct. 8, UPC 7203002111
• Entenmann’s Little Bites Variety – 20 pack (Fudge Brownies, Chocolate Chip Muffins and Blueberry Muffins – Net Weight 2 lb. 2.5 oz.), best by Sept. 24, UPC 7203001799
