Liz Mair on Walker Washout: Ex-Aide Tweets Dozen Reasons

Liz Mair, ex-communications consultant for Scott Walker, offered up an extended commentary in tweet form about his exit from the presidential race on Monday.

As Mediate reported, Mair was forced to resign from Scott Walker's presidential campaign in March after she bashed Iowa for the large role it plays in the nomination process.

"The tone of some of my tweets concerning Iowa was at odds with that which Gov. Walker has always encouraged in political discourse," Mair said upon her resignation. "I wish Gov. Walker and his team all the best."

On Monday, Mair offered her insider take on the strengths and weaknesses of the Walker campaign in a series of posts on Twitter, which are gathered below.

1. Scott Walker could, I think, have been a competent President. However, like almost all Rs, for awhile now, he hasn't been my 1st choice.

Not educating himself fast enough on issues outside governor's remit. Educating himself on some things by talking to the wrong people.
