"Lucky 7" became the first new television show canceled with ABC pulling the plug after the lowest ratings of any new show after the first two episodes.
Despite having the heavyweight lead-in "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" on Tuesdays, "Lucky 7" premiered to 4.4 million viewers and 1.3 in the adults' 18-49 category, making it the networks lowest rating show in recent memory,
reported Entertainment Weekly.
"Lucky 7's" second episode did worse, falling to a 0.7 in the coveted 18-49 demographic, according to Entertainment Weekly. For now, viewers will get "Scandal" repeats at the 10 p.m. slot beginning next week.

The move was not unprecedented, with CBS cancelling "Made in Jersey" after two episodes last year,
according to Variety. The move was also made, though, after networks stressed giving the series more time because of DVR playback and other media platforms.
The series is about a group of gas station employees whose winning lottery ticket brings them millions of dollars and many more problems,
according to the Los Angeles Times. "Lucky 7" was a British remake of the series "The Syndicate," which is a success there and expected to continue through 2015, the Times reported.
Entertainment Weekly said other candidates for cancellation include ABC's "Trophy Wife," CBS's "We Are Men," and NBC's "Ironside" and "Welcome to the Family."
On the flipside, "Agents of SHIELD" is the top rating new show with a 4.7 Nielsen rating,
according to Uproxx.com. CBS's "The Crazy One" with Robin Williams was second with a 4.0 rating and NBC's "The Blacklist" with James Spader was third at 3.8.
In comparison, CBS's hit "The Big Bang Theory pulled a 5.5 rating and ABC's award-winning hit comedy "Modern Family" drew a 4.2 rating over the same period.

Not only has "Agents of SHIELD" been the top rating new show but its second episode received significant playback gains, according to Live+3 day data,
reported the website Zap2it.com.
The website said the "Agents" had a 50 percent increase to 4.92 rating in the 18-49 category in playback. That marketed an increase from 38 percent from playback of its debut episode.
