Magic Johnson's son, Earvin "E.J." Johnson III, made headlines Tuesday after a video surfaced of him walking the Sunset Strip wearing a giant fur coat, carrying a handbag, and walking hand-in-hand with his boyfriend. His basketball legend father says he couldn't be happier for his son.
"Cookie and I love EJ and support him in every way," Magic Johnson told TMZ. "We're very proud of him."

EJ Johnson about the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers. Magic Johnson was a legendary Lakers player and recently took ownership of the Dodgers franchise last year.
The 20-year-old New York University student said he will "hope and pray" for both teams.
Magic Johnson confronted many rumors that he was gay after his 1991 announcement that he is HIV-positive. He has since spoken out about the pervasive stereotypes that gay people face today.
"As a hip-hop fan, you realize that homophobia is still an issue everywhere, but especially in the black community," Johnson told Huffington Post Canada in 2011, on the 20-year anniversary of his diagnosis. "When people are scared to talk about it, that's how the disease spreads. So what have you been doing to get that risk reduced?"
Johnson has also been vocal about his views on gay marriage. In 2008, he openly opposed Proposition 8 in California, a clause that banned same-sex marriage.
"Prop 8 singles out one group of Californians to be treated differently — including members of our family, our friends, and our coworkers," he said in a recorded telephone message sent to California voters. "That is not what California is about. So this Tuesday, vote no on Proposition 8. It is unfair and wrong. Thanks."
