Mark Ballas, the pro partner of former "Full House" star Candace Cameron Bure on "Dancing With the Stars," suffered a pretty serious injury during rehearsal for Monday's season 18 finale, and now the pair's fate in the competition is up in the air.

People magazine reported that Ballas hurt his shoulder while he and Bure were practicing on Sunday, a day before part one of ABC's two-part "DWTS" finale.

"Mark was seriously injured during camera blocking," a "DWTS" spokesperson told People. "His shoulder popped out during a lift and he was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was treated and released. It's unclear whether or not he'll be able to perform on Monday's show."

If Ballas is unable to perform, another "DWTS" pro dancer will learn the routines and appear with Bure on the live shows Monday and Tuesday, People noted.

Ballas thanked his fans for the support on Twitter Monday, but gave no indication as to whether he'll dance in the finale with Bure.

Bure made it to the final round of competition alongside three other celebrity contenders — double amputee Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy, Olympic gold medalist ice dancer Meryl Davis, and Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush star James Maslow.

The "Dancing With the Stars" season 18 finale will air in two parts — Monday at 8 p.m. EST and Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
