The first Martha Stewart Cafe, inspired by Europe’s artisanal cafes, has opened on the ground floor of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s Manhattan headquarters.
"I am thrilled to open the Martha Stewart Cafe. It's a place inspired by my world travels where anyone can come and enjoy a smooth, well-balanced, beautifully handcrafted cappuccino, latte, macchiato, or just plain Americano. In addition, you must try our artisanal teas – they are the finest available anywhere,"
Martha Stewart said in a Thursday release.
Stewart’s company worked with partners Kobrick Coffee — the company that makes “Martha’s Blend” coffee — Arogya Tea, and several New York bakers for pastries, the
café website said.
As soon as its doors opened, the café was getting social media buzz.
BuzzFeed staffers who visited the cafe gave a thumbs down to the coffee and pointed out GoPro cameras mounted at various places in the store.
“I actually enjoyed the GoPros in every corner because I imagine that Martha is viewing the multiple feeds from her office/penthouse several stories above us.
Big Martha Is Watching,” one BuzzFeed writer said.
