McDonald's headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois, were evacuated Friday after a suspicious package raised concern. It was eventually determined as not a threat and employees were let back in.

The package came through the mail room, where a worker screened it.

According to USA Today, more than 1,000 McDonald's employees who work at the headquarters were evacuated but were allowed back in around two hours later at 1 p.m. local time, although many did not return to work since the company allows workers to leave early on Fridays during the summer. It was the last week of that perk for workers, USA Today said.

The package was found to contain a digital music player.
