McDonald's Monopoly is back, giving customers the opportunity to win an array of prizes by matching game pieces that correspond to properties on the board.

Not surprisingly, the odds of collecting on the largest of prizes is slim, such the $1 million payout to contestants who collect the coveted Park Place and Boardwalk combo, the chances of which are approximately 1 in 3,050,412,898, according to the official rules  Business Insider reported.

The chances of winning a "food prize" are much greater. With some 1.2 billion game stamps overall, there are 135,540,995 food prizes and 15,838,729 instant win prizes --  anything from a $50 cash payout to a Redbox movie rental.

Other high-end prizes include a chance to win a new car, such as the new FIAT 500, a Beaches Resorts luxury package in the Caribbean, a Super Bowl XLVIII trip from EA SPORTS, and a trip for two courtesy of Delta Vacations.

The annual game, which hit toy store shelves Wednesday, will be available until Aug. 12 or until supplies last, according to a McDonald's press release.

The game piece peel-offs come in pairs and are available for certain items on the menu, generally for drinks, fries, and burgers.

In addition to the instant prizes, contestants must match properties of a single color, or the Railroads, to win a prize.

The chances of winning are one in four, according to McDonald's.

Digging a bit deeper into the statistics behind the food prizes, Business Insider's Walter Hickey listed the probability of winning several of the less luxurious items in the game.

Food Price Probabilities:

  • The odds are one in nine, or 11.1 percent, to win a medium fries, which generally costs $1.75.
  • The odds are one in 44, or 2.3 percent, to win a Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese, which generally costs $3.60.
