Actor Michael Jace, best known for his role on FX's "The Shield," allegedly shot and killed his wife in front of their two young children this week,
TMZ reported.
Following a domestic dispute, 50-year-old Jace reportedly called police at around 8:30 p.m. Monday night, telling them "I shot my wife," according to the gossip site. The actor then stayed on the phone as instructed until officers from the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at his Hyde Park home.

In addition to playing Christian LAPD officer Julien Lowe on "The Shield", Jace's resume also included appearances on shows like "Southland" and "The Mentalist." He also had a minor role as a Black Panther member in the movie "Forrest Gump."
