Mick Jagger, who turns 70 on Friday, is still rolling with no signs of slowing down.
The Rolling Stones frontman embodies rock 'n' roll, and he likes it, as he and the boys can still pack stadiums after five decades, as evidenced by the band's recently completed 50th anniversary tour. Jagger remains the slim and energetic performer, along with his childhood friend, guitarist Keith Richards, who turns 70 on Dec. 18.

Jagger and Richards penned some of the genre's classic rock songs together, including "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," "Sympathy for the Devil," "Ruby Tuesday," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Brown Sugar," and "Start Me Up." The Stone's lips and tongue logo is arguably one of the most instantly recognizable images in rock and roll.
The Rolling Stones, which also includes guitarist Ron Wood and drummer Charlie Watts, have persevered since forming in 1962, led amazingly by Jagger, whose infectious dance moves are unparalleled and often imitated, notably by Aerosmith's Steven Tyler. His creative form has even been immortilized in a song by Adam Levine and Maroon 5, "Moves Like Jagger."
In honor of Jagger turning 70, here are a few notable moments from his prolific career, which includes forays into acting and other aspects of his backstage life, like fathering seven children with four different women.
1. The Accolades
Jagger received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1986, and knighthood in 2003. The band's "Voodoo Lounge" won the 1994 Grammy for best rock album, and the song, "Love Is Strong" won the 1994 Grammy for best music video, short form. The Stones also received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys in 1996. The Stones have made 29 studio albums and saw eight singles rise to No. 1 on the Billboard 100.
2. The Actor
Jagger appeared in 1970's "Ned Kelly," and 2001's "The Man from Elysian Fields," but his most notable performance came as Vacendak, the bad guy who kidnaps Emilo Estevez in 1992's futuristic "Freejack."
3. 'Saturday Night Live'
Many remember Jagger's "SNL" appearance doing an imitation of Richards, next to Mike Myers' impersonation of Jagger. In 2012, Jagger became the oldest person to host and perform as musical guest in the same episode, when he was almost 69.
4. The Romance
The MTV generation also remembers Jagger's turn with Bette Midler, when she performed the song "Beast of Burden." The video for her version shows the two locked in a romance.
5. The Science
There aren't many rock stars who have a species of trilobite named after them. The Aegrotocatellus Jaggeri existed in what is now the Canadian territory of Nunavut. It is an
extinct fossil arthropod that lived about 542 million years ago, according to Encyclopedia Britannica.
