Kristina Karo, a childhood friend of Mila Kunis, is suing the actress, saying Kunis stole a pet chicken when the two were in first grade together in Ukraine.

Karo claims Kunis would come to her house and play with the chicken, named Doggie, until one day the pet disappeared, TMZ reported.

Karo, who moved to Los Angeles to pursue a singing career, says Kunis admitted to stealing the pet, saying; “Kristina, you can have any other chicken as a pet, you have a whole chicken farm.”

She said the incident led to emotional distress and therapy. The lawsuit seeks $5,000.

Karo claims being near Kunis in Los Angeles has brought back bad memories, requiring additional therapy and preventing her from pursuing the American dream, The Independent reported.

The A.V. Club suggested the lawsuit was purposefully frivolous and created for maximum exposure.

“Never mind that getting briefly famous for something stupid is the American dream,” the website said.

Twitter users seemed amused.
