An Arizona high school student invited Miley Cyrus to his prom last week in a viral YouTube video that featured him wearing nothing but the singer's infamous foam finger.
In the video invitation, Matt Peterson explains that he's actually met Cyrus before when she was giving an interview on KISS FM in 2009. The singer also gave Peterson a shout-out at a concert six months later.

"You've changed my life, and I want to repay you by giving you the best night of your life," the teen says in the caption of his now-viral video, which has drawn more than 480,000 views in a week. "In order to do that, allow me to take you to my Prom on May 3, 2014. I promise you, we will have a great time . . . I hope you will tell me yes when I'm sitting with roses in the 6th row at your BANGERZ tour in Phoenix on February 27th!"
Peterson then dons a suit and tie and prepares to ask Cyrus to prom, but pauses. "This doesn't feel right," he says, before snapping his fingers.
He suddenly appears naked, with just a foam finger and a handful of roses.
"Miley Cyrus, will you go prom with me? I promise you it'll be the best night of your life," he says. "And if you aren’t the slow-dancing type, no worries. I go to public school and grinding is allowed."
Amazingly, the "Wrecking Ball" singer responded on Twitter.
Viral YouTube prom invites to celebrities have become something of a trend among high school students.
Last year, a California high school senior invited Kate Upton to his dance. The model unfortunately said she was "too busy" to attend.
