English folk rock band Mumford & Sons will take a hiatus for "a considerable amount of time" now that their tour has ended, band members revealed last week.
"There won't be any Mumford & Sons activities for the foreseeable future following Friday's show,"
keyboardist Ben Lovett told Rolling Stone last week ahead of the band's final tour date in Kansas.

The break will mark the band's first chunk of time off since they hit it big with their debut album, "Sigh No More," in 2009. Mumford & Sons' follow-up effort, "Babel," won a Grammy for Album of the Year in 2012 and members Lovett, Marcus Mumford, Winston Marshall, and Ted Dwane have been touring nonstop ever since.
Lovett said the break is indefinite, and he wouldn’t confirm when, or if, Mumford & Sons will come together again.
"We have no idea [when we'll start making music again]," he said. "We just know we're going to take a considerable amount of time off and just go back to hanging out and having no commitments or pressure or anything like that. It feels like the last week of school right now, before school holiday when you're in high school. The atmosphere on the road is one of ... I think everyone’s excited about being free of schedules."
The band posted a
goodbye message on its website following the final "Babel" show last week.
"Well thank you everybody, once again, for an incredible tour. We cannot begin to tell you how much we love what we do and how lucky we feel that we've got to spend these past six years touring around the World, playing our songs to good people who have supported us the way that you do."
Some fans speculated that Mumford & Sons needs time off for bassist Dwane,
who underwent successful surgery to remove a blood clot on his brain in June.
