The Museum of Ice Cream will open its third U.S. location in San Francisco on Sept. 17, and tickets go on sale online Friday (although American Express customers can order tickets early).

The museum will offer interactive exhibits including a magical candy garden, psychedelic rainbow unicorns, a Sprinkle Pool with more than 100 million sprinkles, and a cherry on top sky, according to a news release.

The museum is located in a historic bank building near San Francisco’s Union Square, where founder and creative director Maryellis Bunn said she enjoyed creating a modern, playful design for the landmark building.

Entry to the Museum of Ice Cream includes half a dozen tastings and other edible treats along with a “scoop of the week” from various exceptional creameries around California such as Bi-Rite, It’s It, Salt & Straw, and CREAM. There will also be a custom flavor especially for the museum that has never been tasted before.

A Pop Rocks Cave and mochi ice cream tasting experience also are part of the experience. The museum will be open Wednesday through Monday 11 am-10 pm (closed Tuesdays).

The Museum of Ice Cream’s other locations in Los Angeles and New York City have enjoyed unprecedented demand, the news release stated. More locations are planned for the remainder of 2017 and into 2018.
