Nazi Dad Demands Custody of Newborn Baby Girl, Named Eva Braun

A New Jersey man fixated on Adolph Hitler and Nazis believes child welfare authorities took his newborn daughter away because of his politics and is demanding custody of the baby he named Eva Braun, after Hitler’s mistress.

Heath Campbell has nine children, one of whom he named Adolph Hitler, with five different women and doesn’t have custody of any of the kids, the News said. Most recently, his girlfriend Bethanie Zito gave birth to Eva Lynne Patricia Braun while visiting family in Pennsylvania. Two days after the birth, the baby was taken into custody.

“I’m not allowed to have children because I’m a Nazi,” Campbell told the New York Daily News. “That’s what they’re saying. Well, I’ll stop making them when they stop taking them.”

In the past, Campbell has worn a Third Reich uniform into court to argue for custody or visitation rights for his other children.

Zito’s first child is also in state custody, and the mother’s attorney said Campbell’s political views didn’t come up during hearings.

Another attorney told the Daily News that child welfare workers can take a baby if there’s “an assumption the child is at risk.”

Campbell and Zito were in court Monday to ask for Eva Braun to be returned to their custody, reported LeHigh Valley Live. The baby was born Nov. 11.

Campbell has lost custody of his other children. As the neo-Nazi fought to get back his son earlier this year, the Daily News detailed the story of one of Campbell’s marriages, to Cathie Bowlby. She said when the two were married he wasn’t obsessed with Hitler, but talked more about the devil, wanting to name their son Lucifer. She also talked about abuse she suffered during their marriage.
