The NCAA Sweet 16 is set after a thrilling first weekend for the NCAA Tournament, with the schedule of television times and broadcast assignments for the next round announced on Sunday night.
The weekend was riddled with upsets, with half of the No. 1 to No. 3 seeds not going on to make the Sweet 16, CBS News noted. After the Virginia Cavaliers became the first No. 1 seed to lose to a No. 16 seed in tournament history, top-seed Xavier fell to No. 9 Florida State University.
Only four of the eight Sweet 16 games coming up this week will involve a No. 1 or No. 2 seed.
First-seeded Kansas will take on fifth-seeded Clemson and second-seeded Duke faces 11th-seeded Syracuse in the Midwest while in the West Region, the third-seeded Wolverines will take seventh-seeded Texas A&M and fourth-seeded Gonzaga challenge the ninth-seeded Florida State, according to The Associated Press.
In the South, fifth-seeded Kentucky challenges ninth-seeded Kansas State and seventh-seeded Nevada tackles 11th-seeded Loyola-Chicago, according to the AP.
