Nick Gordon is still wearing the wedding ring commemorating his relationship with Bobbi Kristina Brown, even after her death on Sunday.
The 25-year-old Gordon was spotted walking around his gated Florida neighborhood with his mother,
ET Online reported. The outlet said he wore his ring on his finger and Brown’s on a chain around his neck.
The couple had announced they were married on January 9, 2014, but a family spokesperson later said the nuptials were never official.
Brown died earlier this week after having been unresponsive in a coma since Jan. 31. Gordon had discovered the daughter of singer Whitney Houston facedown and unconscious in a bathtub in her late mother’s Georgia home.
Since then, Brown’s family has pursued a restraining order and $10 million lawsuit against Gordon, who they believe is responsible in the 22-year old’s death.
Gordon appears to have been grieving deeply for his girlfriend. An unnamed source
told HollywoodLife.com, "Nick is on suicide watch. He is out of control with regret and sadness. He keeps saying that if only [Bobbi Kristina] had heard his voice, things would have been different. She may have lived." Hollywood Life reported.
On Monday, Junior Walker, Gordon’s younger brother, told ET he was doing “bad,” but is not suicidal.
Walker reportedly endured the burden of breaking the news of Brown’s death to his brother. "He didn't even know," he recalled. “I told him ET posted it ... and then his lawyer called on the phone while I was talking to him. He was on the phone with me and I told him that ET [was] posting saying Kris is gone."
Gordon’s mother, Michele Gordon, is also upset over Brown’s death. “The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family," she said in a statement reported by ET. "Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they've been apart."
