Pregnant YouTube star Nicole Thea has died suddenly at age 24. The social media influencer, who was eight months along and had been documenting her pregnancy on social media, passed away suddenly on Saturday, The New York Post reported. No cause of death has been given.
Thea's family revealed the news in an Instagram post that confirmed her unborn son had also died.
"To all Nicole’s friends and supporters it is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Nicole and her son she and [her partner] Boga named Reign sadly passed away on Saturday morning," Thea's mother wrote.
"As a family we ask that you give us privacy because our hearts are truly broken and we are struggling to cope with what has happened," she added. "My beautiful baby girl Nicnac and my grandson Reign, I will miss you for the rest of my life until we meet again in eternal heaven."
The post added that Thea had prescheduled several YouTube videos to air to her 81,000 followers on her channel and Boga had decided to air them.
Thea first announced her pregnancy in a video posted to her Instagram account in April and has since shared dozens of photos of her growing baby bump.
"GOD gave us the biggest blessing yet. I’m finally creating a beautiful little human inside of me," she captioned her first post. "Can’t believe this bubba will be half of me and half of the loml. Honestly, @global_boga has been the best support EVER and GOD made no mistakes making him the father. We are already obsessed with you our little miracle baby. Thank you for choosing us to be your parents and best friends."
