Nicole Wolter, an Illinois manufacturing company president, is outspokenly in favor of President Donald Trump’s tax cuts, saying they have helped her employees as well as her company.
Her company, HM Manufacturing, is family owned and was founded on humble grounds in 1979 in Wauconda, Illinois.
Since then it has become a leader in the power transmission components industry, but Wolter said the company has always prided itself on maintaining a family atmosphere and caring for its employees.
Trump said the landmark tax cuts passed earlier this year, which drop marginal corporate rates from 35 percent to 21 percent, would bring in more money for the average U.S. citizen and would allow local companies to "compete and win against anyone in the world," CNN reported.
In a video by Job Creators Network, Wolter called her business a testament to Trump’s claim and she said the tax cuts allowed HM Manufacturing to provide its employees with bonuses, raises, and 100 percent paid healthcare.
She also said the company was able to buy a half-million dollars in new equipment this year — "proof that the tax cuts do work."
Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan recently said the benefits of Trump's tax cuts were "underestimated" and the tax cuts were driving the stock market and a host of economic benefits.
"Remember that the stock market is being driven to a large extent by the one thing that I think the Trump administration did right: got the 35 percent marginal corporate tax rate and brought it down to 21 percent," he said during a recent discussion at the American Enterprise Institute titled, "The Bubble Economy – Is This Time Different?"
