Moving is underway as the Obamas ready their new home after vacating the White House on Friday when Donald Trump is inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States.

A moving van was seen Monday in front of the eight-bedroom, nine-and-a-half-bathroom mansion unloading boxes labeled Cadegan Tate Fine Art along with other items, according to CBS News.

The Obamas' new home was built in 1928 and is owned by Bill Clinton’s former press secretary Joe Lockhart, who will rent it to the family for $22,000 a month, Today.com reported.

The Obamas plan to continue living in D.C. until younger daughter Sasha graduates from the Sidwell Friends school where many children of politicians attend.

The home has hardwood floors throughout, a terrace, and gardens. It also has a suite that could be used for Michelle’s mother Marian Robinson, who has lived with the Obamas throughout their time in the White House.

President Barack Obama told "60 Minutes" his family is happy they will be out of the White House.

“I mean, the girls, obviously, you know, they are now of an age in which the constraints of Secret Service and bubbles and all of that stuff has gotten pretty old,” he said, adding that Michelle has “thrived” as first lady, but she doesn’t like the constant scrutiny, CBS reported.

President-elect Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband, top Trump adviser Jared Kushner, will be moving into a home just a few blocks away from the Obamas' new house, according to The Hill.
