"Grease" star Olivia Newton-John and her entrepreneur husband are "in shock" about the suicide of a contractor at their Jupiter Inlet Colony, Fla., home on Monday.
Newton-John and John Easterling were out of town when Christopher Pariseleti, 41, president of the family-run Pariseleti Construction, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the home,
according to the Palm Beach Post.

His company was doing work inside the home at the time of the shooting.
"Olivia and her husband John are in shock over the tragic event that occurred at their Florida home yesterday," Newton-John's publicist Michael Caprio said in an email Tuesday. "At this time we are awaiting additional information from investigators but can confirm that the couple was not in Florida at the time and the deceased was not a family member."
The Jupiter Police Department told
ABC News in a statement that there were no unusual circumstances connecting Newton-John and Easterling to Pariseleti.
"Subsequent to an autopsy this morning, conducted by the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner's Office, it was determined Tequesta resident, Christopher Pariseleti, died as the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound," said the department said. "This case investigation has been classified as a suicide and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death."
The 7,429-square-foot home sold for $4.1 million in May 2009, according to the property appraiser’s office. It was built in 1975, when it sold for $160,000.

GossipExtra reported this month that television personality Rosie O’Donnell was under contract to buy the home. The website said O'Donnell was purchasing the home for $5.6 million, about $500,000 less than Newton-John was asking for.
O'Donnell declined to comment on the situation.
Newton-John, 64, launched her successful singing career in the 1970s, catapulting to new heights in 1978 when she starred with John Travolta in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical "Grease." Newton-John's 1981 hit song "Let’s Get Physical" was one of that decade’s biggest hits.
