Olsen twins Mary-Kate and Ashley held an Olympic-themed 29th birthday bash in the Hamptons – complete with fireworks – and things even got a little competitive.
The tot-stars-turned-fashionistas divided guests into teams with their own T-shirts – red for Team Mary-Kate and blue for Team Ashley,
according to the Examiner. There was a Happy Birthday banner in a field complete with the Olympic logo and pictures of medals engraved with either Mary-Kate’s or Ashley’s name.
An obstacle course was constructed out on a field with cones, tires, and beams, as well as a dunk tank,
according to the Daily Mail.
The June 13 competition heated up during the sporting activities:
The Olsen twins shot to stardom as 6-month-olds in 1987 when they were cast in the ABC sitcom "Full House" in the role of Michelle Tanner. In order to comply with the child labor laws at the time, Mary-Kate and Ashley took turns portraying Michelle until 1995, according to the Daily Mail.
After years of acting, the two sisters launched their own fashion label, The Row, in 2004. They became more famous for marketing the bohemian-bourgeois look in their clothing,
according to Elle Magazine. On June 1, Mary-Kate and Ashley won the 2015 CFDA Fashion Award for Womenswear Designer of the Year for The Row.
Although "Full House" is being reprised in a Netflix series now titled "Fuller House," the Olsen twins have decided not to participate in the cast reunion and are instead focusing on their fashion labels.
