Whispers of "Oprah 2020" turned to shouts after an emotional Golden Globes speech on Sunday in which the outspoken supporter of former president Barack Obama weighed in on Hollywood's sexual harassment scandal.

And although she recently ruled out any run for office, for the moment Oprah Winfrey on Monday was riding higher in the public eye than any other opponent of President Donald Trump, should he run for re-election.

"For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dare speak the truth to the power of those men," Winfrey said after receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement, per Politico. "But their time is up. Their time is up."

Oscar-winner Meryl Streep virtually endorsed Winfrey for the presidency to The Washington Post.

"She launched a rocket tonight," Streep the Post. "I want her to run for president. I don't think she had any intention (of declaring). But now she doesn't have a choice."

Other celebrities joined in on Twitter in support of Winfrey. Winfrey threw cold water about running for office on "CBS This Morning" back in October.

"There will be no running of office of any kind, for me," Winfrey said.

But two sources close to the billionaire told CNN Money she is "actively thinking" about it.

On Sunday night, Winfrey said she wanted girls watching the Golden Globes to realize that "a new day is on the horizon" where they will be able speak against sexual harassment and abuse, leading to a standing ovation from the audience, E! News reported.

"And when that new day final dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say 'Me Too' again," Winfrey said.
