Actress Pamela Anderson ran the daunting ING New York City Marathon Sunday in less than six hours.
The "Baywatch" star completed the race in 5:41.03, according to USA Today, after volunteering to run more than 26 miles to raise $500,000 for Sean Penn's J/P Haitian Relief Organization.

"I really haven't attacked the running thing,"
Anderson told the Daily News less than two months before the race, making some wonder how serious she was about it. "I've never been a runner. I’ve never even run across the street hardly before. Now I get how fun it is, how great it is. I'm sweaty and I’m running, and I still want to run more. I’m getting into a groove."
Some think Anderson was simply downplaying her training.
"(The Daily News interview) seemed troubling at the time,"
USA Today speculated. "After all, she was only six weeks away from taking on 26.2 miles, which is something that you definitely need to train very well for. But on Sunday, the former 'Baywatch' star proved that she might have been underselling how hard she had worked or is just naturally gifted at running."
On Twitter, Anderson thanked her brother, Gerry, for running with her.
She also showed off her medal.
Kenya's Geoffrey Mutai and Priscah Jeptoo won the men’s and women’s races. Jeptoo also captured the World Marathon Majors series title for $500,000.
The Daily News reported more than 50,000 participated in the race, a record.
