Peaches Geldof, the 25-year-old British model and daughter of Irish singer and Band Aid founder Bob Geldof and TV presenter Paula Yates, died unexpectedly in her home outside London on Monday.
According to BBC News, British police are investigating the cause of her death, which they described as "non-suspicious but unexplained and sudden." They confirmed that there were no drugs found on the premises, and no suicide note. A post-mortem is expected Wednesday.
Geldof is survived by her father, sisters, husband, and two toddler sons. Her mother, Paula Yates, died of a drug overdose in 2000.
Geldof's passing has received an outpouring of grief as well as support for the family on social media, which Geldof herself used proficiently. Just the day before her passing, Geldof posted a picture of herself and her mother to Instagram — a reminder of her mother's untimely and tragic death. She was 11 when her mother died.

The young Geldof grew up in the public eye because of the high profile of her parents, and British tabloids followed her during her teenage years, which were sometimes characterized by partying and drugs. In 2009, however, she announced her drug-taking days were through. More recently, as a model and fashion writer, she was a frequent participant at fashion shows in New York and London, making an appearance at Tesco's F&F brand show last week.
Bob Geldof released a statement saying the family was "beyond pain."
"What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever," he said.
Peaches' older sister released a photo of the pair as young girls on Instagram, writing "My beautiful baby sister ... Gone but never forgotten. I love you, Peaches."
Irish President Michael D. Higgins expressed his support for the family, saying, "This is such a difficult cross to bear for any family and all of our thoughts are with Peaches' family and friends at this time. Sabina and I were due to meet Bob Geldof while on the state visit and we are thinking of him at this time of immense loss."
Many celebrities followed suit, making public pronouncements of their grief on Twitter, including musicians Boy George, Lily Allen, and Lorde.
