Two Illinois teenagers were charged with making bomb threats this week in separate incidents after they both tweeted about blowing up Joliet West and Peotone high schools.
"I will bomb West High School," read one of the threats, posted Friday by a 14-year-old female freshman.

The unidentified girl was arrested Monday and charged with making a bomb threat, a felony. She told police she was not serious about actually bombing her high school.
"She said her older brother was being bullied and her intention was to scare those boys into leaving him alone. She had no plans to set a bomb," Joliet Police Cmdr. Al Roechner
told the
Joliet Herald News in a report on the Peotone bomb threats by teens against separate schools.
A similar threat rocked the Peotone community Monday when Kyle J. Koran, 17, tweeted, "Tomorrow I’m planning on bombing Peotone High School. If you’re one of the 15 people I like don't go to school.'"
Koran, a former Peotone student who was being home schooled this year, reportedly deleted the threat but police had already seen it.
"He thought he was being funny by making a joke, but we took it seriously," Peotone Police Chief Bill Mort told the Herald News.
Koran faces up to five years in prison if found guilty.
