Pineapples are on the banned items list for two British music festivals after organizers feared fans would bring them in large numbers to pay homage to one band’s song lyric referencing the fruit.

The Reading and Leeds festivals banned pineapples along with weapons, drones, and fireworks from both the arenas and campsites when the events take place later in the month, The Telegraph reported.

Fans of the indie rock band Glass Animals have previously brought the fruit to performances because the band’s song “Pork Soda” contains the line “pineapples in my head.”

The band’s singer Dave Bayley said the lyric came from a conversation he overheard on the street in which he thought a homeless man said the line. He later came to believe that he misheard the conversation, but he liked the lyric and put it in the song anyway, the BBC reported.

Drummer Joe Seaward said fans might see the restriction as a challenge.

“Anyone who wasn’t bringing a pineapple definitely is now,” he said, the BBC reported.

In the past, fans also have dressed up like pineapples for some shows.

“Organizers were a little concerned about hundreds of pineapples turning up on site so decided to ask fans not to bring them along,” a spokesman for the festivals said, the BBC reported. “The tongue may be slightly in cheek on this one,” he added.

Twitter users encouraged each other to bring pineapples to the music festivals anyway.
