Police are on the lookout for the "pink bank robber" they say stole a bundle of cash from a Maryland Capitol One branch Monday night. Cops described the suspect as a woman dressed almost entirely in the bright color while one wag described her as "armed and fabulous."
Officials in Landover, Md., have released still images from a surveillance video that shows the woman wearing a pink pea coat, pink head wrap, and even
carrying a pink cell phone. According to the Washington Post, the suspect entered the Capitol One Bank and handed the teller a note demanding cash. No one was injured, but the bank robber got away before police arrived.
Anyone with information about the suspect — described as an African American woman between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11 and in her late 20s — is encouraged to come forward. Police are offering a $1,000 reward for tips leading to arrest and conviction.

Internet users got a kick out of the bank robber's getup.
"In honor of breast cancer awareness?" one person commented on the Post's website.
"Caution — the suspect is believed to be armed and fabulous," someone else posted.
Others thought the over-the-top pink outfit may have been an effort to cover-up the true identity of the thief.
"Am I the only one who thinks that the pink was overdone deliberately, so that people would assume that this '5'11 woman' was a woman?" one user wrote.
