An 18-year-old Piper High School Student was arrested Thursday in Sunrise, Fla., for allegedly stabbing his 16-year-old classmate multiple times in the middle of gym class with a pocket knife.
Sunrise police said senior Kimanie King, 18, stabbed the 16-year-old sophomore multiple times with a folding
pocket knife at the school's gymnasium, according to CBS Miami.

The victim, identified by family members as Urique Wilson, CBS said, suffered three stab wounds in the back and chest and was transported to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. He was listed in stable condition.
"I give praise to God every day because right now, he saved my son," Joseph Watson, Wilson's father, told CBS Miami. "Without prayer and God in his life, he wouldn't be here today. It was one centimeter from his heart. He’s terrified. That's any parent's nightmare right there, to find out their kid is stabbed."
Authorities charged King with attempted murder and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
Broward Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie
told the Sun-Sentinel that he visited Wilson in the hospital.
"He's under observation and family members are with him," Runcie said. "My understanding is he should recover well, under the circumstances."
School officials put Piper High School on a two-hour lockdown following the incident. Other schools were visiting the campus to participate in a music competition.
"There are kids here from all over," Tom Alberts, whose son was at the competition, told the Sun-Sentinel. "Obviously that's in total disarray now. But I hope the [stabbed boy] is all right."
WSVN-TV reported that the stabbing comes a week after a fight at Piper High School in which another student was sent to the hospital.
