A Pitbull-Dachshund mix has become an online hit after a Humane Society in Georgia posted photos of the peculiar pooch to Facebook.
"Hi! I'm Rami and I'm looking for my forever home," the Moultrie Colquitt County Humane Society wrote with the adoption posting on Tuesday.
"I'm a year old Dachshund/Pit bull mix. Yes, you're reading that right, and, no, you haven't gone crazy. I'm full of energy. I don't like walking on a leash. I'm a sweetie pie, and love to run. I don't listen very well, so you'll need to take some time to train me. Because I tend to be a bit hyper, I might not be the best addition to a household with little kids. But I'm sure that all I need is a little lovin'. Will you take me home?"
The pictures and subsequently posted video of Rami soon received tens of thousands of shares just hours after being posted.
ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV spoke with Don Flowers, executive director of the Humane Society, and asked him the questions that were on everyone's minds.
First off, Flowers said that he believes Rami's mother was a pitbull, and his father a Dachshund.
"I don’t think anybody actually planned on having a litter of puppies like this, but, you know, the male dogs — when a female comes in heat — they just, they just can't help themselves."
Flowers reported that they're in the process of neutering Rami, and that they've been inundated with applications to adopt him
