Two Portland, Oregon, police officers finished a Pizza Hut driver’s pizza delivery after he was injured in a car accident, going above and beyond in their police work.
Steve Huckins and his wife had already called to complain Sept. 1 because their pizza didn’t arrive, and they’d even received a
pizza delivered by the Pizza Hut manager himself to replace it, KOIN reported.

So when someone else knocked at the door and two police officers holding a pizza box stood there, Huckins said he had to memorialize the event with a photo.
It’s unlikely the Portland Police Department’s “Sworn to protect. Dedicated to Serve” motto really had pizza delivery in mind. Still, the photo and story about the officers have gone viral.
“They turn around to leave, and I said, ‘whoa, whoa, whoa — I got to get a picture of this. No one is going to believe Portland police delivering a pizza.’ So that’s the picture everyone saw,” Huckins told KOIN of the shot.
He also forwarded it to the Portland police department so the two officers, Michael Filbert and Royce Curtiss, would receive some recognition for going out of their way to help out.
The Associated Press said the Pizza Hut driver hurt his neck and back in the accident.
