The crash site, TulsaWorld.com reported, was in a rural area approximately 13 miles south of Huntsville, Ark.
Several area residents described to reporters what they heard moments after the plane went down.
"It was a boom! [and] I thought what on earth is going on?" resident Phyllis Turner Sisk said, UPI.com reported.
It is unclear at this point what caused the plane to crash.
The FFA is currently conducting an investigation into the incident, noting in a statement that "the terrain is mountainous" where the plane crashed and it was "cloudy and rainy in the vicinity of where the plane disappeared."
TulsaWorld.com reported that Flight Aware, a live public aircraft-tracking website, recorded that the plane descended 900 feet in the final minute before it crashed, with its direction taking a sudden change from west to east and its speed increasing from 138 mph to 180 during its steep descent.
The couple was remembered Tuesday by family friend Oklahoma State Sen. Rick Brinkley.
"They were special people," Brinkley told Tulsa World. "Adina was so kind and loving. I’m just so sick for the family."
Williams, a CEO of a construction company in Pryor, was also remembered by the local Chamber of Commerce President Barbara Hawkins, who described them as a valuable asset to the community, Tulsa World reported.
