The Powerball jackpot rose to $80 million, after there were no winners in Saturday night's lotto drawing.
Despite that there was no jackpot winner, there were four $1 million dollar winning tickets sold in Florida, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. The winners matched the lottery's first five numbers, which were 2-5-34-51-58, but missed the Powerball number, 9.

Additionally, there was one $2 million winning ticket sold in West Virginia. The winner chose the Power Play option to double their prize.
In total, $18.2 million was awarded to more than 485,000 people who played across the country, according to Powerball.com, with 15,271,188 tickets sold for Saturday's drawing.
One past Powerball jackpot winner who collected his winnings last week was California resident Joseph Saxer, an Air Force retiree who claimed $60 million from his March 1 win.
When asked how he celebrated the big win by California lottery officials, Saxer said in a press release, "I took my wife to Carl’s Jr. and we got a buy one get one free of the, what they call the ‘Philly Cheese,’ and we shared a Coke then went back home."
The next Powerball drawing will be Wednesday, March 19.
Meanwhile America's other national lottery, Mega Millions, has seen its jackpot grow to $400 million in recent weeks, after there were no jackpot winners in Friday's drawing.
Mega Millions has seen its jackpots grow significantly since last fall, after the lottery increased its number pool from one through 56 to one through 75 on Oct. 19, thereby increasing the odds against players.
As a result of the change, the odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot with a single ticket increased from 1 in 176 million to 1 in 259 million. With tougher odds, Mega Millions officials hoped to see larger jackpots more frequently, and consequently more interest.
In comparison, Powerball, which costs $2 per ticket and has one through 59 balls, gives players a one in 175 million chance of winning the jackpot.
The next Mega Millions drawing will be Tuesday, March 18.
