Prince Harry's motorcade was involved in a car crash Thursday morning near Regent's Park in London, injuring a police officer riding a motorcycle which collided with a Toyota Prius.
According to The Guardian, the police officer and the car's driver were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle carrying Prince Harry was not involved in the accident.
The newspaper reported that the Metropolitan police have begun a traffic investigation into the accident but no arrests have been made.

A Scotland Yard spokesman told
The Telegraph Thursday that police motorcyclist was displaying his warning lights while escorting Prince Harry's motorcade.
"The male rider of the police motor vehicle suffered injuries. He has been taken to hospital for treatment," the spokesman told The Telegraph. "The male driver of the Prius also suffered injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment. … The London Fire Brigade was in also attendance and worked to release the driver of the Prius from his vehicle."
A witness told the
Daily Mail that Prince Harry appeared concerned about the condition of his escort and the injured driver.
"I could see Prince Harry clearly in the back of the car with his head in his hands," the witness told the Daily Mail. "He looked really distressed and was constantly looking back over his shoulder to see what was happening. It was clear that for security reasons he had to stay in the car."
"It was clearly a shocking incident but he was pleased the officers were able to stop and administer important immediate first aid," a source close to Prince Harry told the Daily Mail. "The police were fantastic and sped into action, assessing those who were injured and treating them until the ambulances arrived."
