Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's chief of staff has stepped down from her role after less than a year.

Catherine St-Laurent started working for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex last April but on Monday Page Six confirmed she would be transitioning over to a senior advisory role for Archewll, which is the couple's nonprofit organization.

"She will continue to bring high-level strategic guidance to Archewell, which she helped launch and build over the course of the past year," a spokesperson said.

St-Laurent previously held senior roles in the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The news comes shortly after The Times ran a report with allegations that Markle bullied several staff members. Citing unnamed sources, the outlet stated that Markle had allegedly driven out two personal assistants from the Kensington Palace household and undermined the confidence of a third staff member.

The sources said they chose to divulge the information because they felt Markle's stories of her two years as a working member of the royal family, which she recounted during her interview with Oprah Winfrey, were only partially true and they were concerned about how the palace handled matters of bullying.

Buckingham Palace has since launched an investigation into the allegations that Markle had bullied her staff.

"Accordingly our HR team will look into the circumstances outlined in the article. Members of staff involved at the time, including those who have left the Household, will be invited to participate to see if lessons can be learned," it said in a statement, according to CNN. "The Royal Household has had a Dignity at Work policy in place for a number of years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace."
