Rae Dawn Chong, the actress who starred alongside Oprah Winfrey in 1985's "The Color Purple," fired off against her former co-star in a radio rant last month, calling the mogul an "N-word," "fat," and "vile."
Chong, who is part African-American, appeared on "Matty P's Radio Happy Hour" Internet show June 27, where she had some
not-so-nice things to say about Winfrey, according to TMZ.
In the very split-personality interview, 52-year-old Chong first praised Winfrey, 59, for being "lovely" to her on the set of "The Color Purple."

"She is amazing. I respect her, I think she's done great things for women of color, women of a certain size," Chong said. "I think she's an icon."
But after Chong scored another movie role, she claims Winfrey's attitude toward her shifted.
"I starred in 'Commando' and she just wasn't having me," she said on the radio show. "She's competitive. She didn't like me. She just wasn't having me."
Chong then launched an attack on Winfrey's looks and accused her of "brown-nosing" her way to the top.
"If you look at the way she looks — 60 years ago she would have been a housekeeper, luckily. She would not have been a house n— she would've been a field n—," Chong said. "The thing that’s really great about Oprah that you can't take away from her is that she's a great brown-noser.
"If you were in a room with her, she would pick the most powerful person in the room and become best friends with them. When we worked with her ... she was the fat chick, the wannabe cheerleader in school that was the student council president, that was best friends with the principal, the volunteer nurse. She was the fat chick in school that did everything so everybody loved her. That's Oprah. Love me, love me, love me. You've got to respect her. No matter how vile she is, she's all about Oprah and she's boring."
Winfrey has not commented on the scathing attack, but Twitter users immediately lashed out against Chong.
