Reese Witherspoon was photographed at LAX Airport Saturday sporting a "City of Atlanta Police" hat in a move that was either an olive branch in the wake of her recent Georgia arrest or a cheeky fashion statement.

The Oscar-winning "Walk the Line" actress pleaded no contest Thursday in an Atlanta court to disorderly conduct for mouthing off to an officer who arrested her and her husband, talent agent Jim Toth, for a DUI on April 19.

A police dashcam video of the altercation made the media rounds last week, and showed Witherspoon, 37, yelling, "I'm an American citizen!" and warning the officer, "You're about to find out who I am."

Witherspoon appeared on "Good Morning America" Wednesday to do some public relations damage control, claiming she and her husband had "one too many glasses of wine."

"We thought we were fine to drive and we were absolutely not, and we are so sorry and just so embarrassed," she told ABC's George Stephanopoulos. "We know better and we shouldn't have done that."

Witherspoon also apologized profusely for her attitude toward the police officer.

"I was so disrespectful to him," she said. "I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better. It's just unacceptable."

She then tried to brush off the arrest with a joke.

"I played a lawyer in a movie so many times I think I am a lawyer. And, clearly, I'm not a lawyer because I got arrested," she said.
