A 12-year-old girl accused of relentlessly bullying another student at her Connecticut middle school was arrested Tuesday after the victim reportedly made suicidal comments.
The bully, whose name was not released, was
charged with disorderly conduct and released in the custody of her parents Tuesday, The Stamford Daily Voice reported.

The victim's parents told school administrators about the alleged bullying last month after their 13-year-old daughter reportedly made suicidal comments. They claimed the 12-year-old student "had continued to bully, taunt, and harass their daughter," police told the Daily Voice.
"This behavior will not be tolerated by the Stamford Police Department," Stamford Police Lt. Diedrich Hohn said in a statement. "If it is brought to our attention we will vigorously investigate the allegations and make arrests when appropriate. We investigate all claims of bullying and this type of behavior will not be condoned in a learning environment."
In August, a 15-year-old student at Greenwich High School in Connecticut
fatally shot himself after being bullied by classmates, according to WTNH.com.
"Obviously after what happened in Greenwich and other stories you hear about, this bullying going to the extreme, once we heard these allegations that she was contemplating suicide we immediately got involved," Hohn said of the Stamford bullying case.
Last month, a 12-year-old Florida girl committed suicide after she was subjected to online bullying by
more than a dozen of her classmates, FOX 8 WVUE reported.
The victim, Rebecca Ann Sedwick, reportedly jumped off a building in Lakeland, Fla., after being "absolutely terrorized on social media," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told reporters.
Before her death, Sedwick had reportedly searched online for things like "How many over-the-counter drugs do you take to die?" and "How many Advil do you have to take to die?" according to FOX 8.
