Rihanna slammed social media app Snapchat on Thursday for an ad it allowed to post last weekend that asked users if they would rather “slap Rihanna” or “punch Chris Brown.”

The ad for the popular game “Would You Rather” appeared to make light of a 2009 incident when Brown was convicted of assaulting Rihanna during an argument they had when dating.

The app removed the ad earlier in the week and Snapchat apologized for its placement, saying that its review process failed to prevent the ad from being posted.

“The advert was reviewed and approved in error, as it violates our advertising guidelines,” Snapchat said in a statement.

Rihanna responded to the statement on Thursday blasting the app for the ad.

“I’d love to call it ignorance but I know you ain’t that dumb,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “You spent money to animate something that would intentionally bring shame to [domestic violence] victims and made a joke of it.”

“Throw the whole app-oligy away,” she concluded.

Snapchat said it was investigating the incident so it won't happen again, CNN reported.

Some fans said they were deleting their Snapchat accounts because of Rihanna’s post.

According to MarketWatch, Snap Inc. stock fell 4.7 percent on Thursday because of the backlash.

This is the second recent loss for the app company, which lost 6 percent (or about $1.3 billion in value) in one day after Kylie Jenner tweeted in February she wasn’t using it anymore following a recent unpopular redesign.
