Ron Paul: Republicans Moving My Way

The rising strength of the tea party movement and the country’s turn to the right since 2008 may enable Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, to run an even stronger presidential campaign next year than he did in 2008. He says Republicans are warming to his libertarian stances, The Hill reports.

Paul scoffs at the idea that he is conducting a different campaign than in 2008.

The longtime congressman contends that more Americans are coming to question the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the role of the Federal Reserve than three years ago.

“During the last campaign, I knew what was happening,” Paul told CNN’s “State of the Union” last week.

“You know, they mocked me for my foreign policy, and they laughed at my monetary policy — no more, no more,” he added.
