Rosie O'Donnell's 17-year-old daughter Chelsea, who had reportedly been missing for the last week, was found unharmed Tuesday at a home in Barnegat Light, New Jersey.

Chelsea O'Donnell was last seen at the family's Rockland County home in New York on Aug. 11, and her family contacted South Nyack Police on Sunday, WNBC-TV reported. Authorities said the teenager had been using a new cellphone to contact people, and they used that lead to track her down at a home at the Jersey Shore.

Rosie O'Donnell posted on Twitter Tuesday that her daughter was found and with police.

The actress and comedian said on her website that her daughter has a medical condition and had recently stopped taking treatments to help her mental illness, according to CBS New York.

"Chelsea, like millions of people, lives with mental illness," Cindi Berger, Rosie O’Donnell's representative, said in a statement before the girl was found. "It has been a difficult road for Chelsea and her family and they just want her back safe."

O'Donnell, the former co-host of ABC's "The View," posted a message on her website when her daughter first went missing.

"She was wearing a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women’s grey converse sneakers, and a black backpack," she wrote. "Chelsea has a large tattoo on her right side of a dream catcher with the word 'Breathe.' She left home with her six month old therapy dog named Bear. The dog is a 9 [pound] brown and black terrier."

The incident was the latest personal setback for 53-year-old O'Donnell. She resigned as co-host of "The View" for a second time back February, saying that she wanted to put her family first, according to the New York Daily News.

She then filed for divorce from Michelle Rounds after three years of marriage, according to the newspaper. Then O'Donnell became embroiled in a conflict with Chelsea's birth mother, Deanna Micoley.

Chelsea O'Donnell was adopted at two months old in 1997 by the comedian and her first wife, Kelli Carpenter.
