Amazon film executive Roy Price has been fired by his fiancée. Lila Feinberg called off their wedding plans now that he is being marked absent at Amazon Studios following a sexual harassment charge, The Hollywood Reporter said.
Price and Feinberg, who is a playwright and TV writer, were set to be married on Nov. 12, but THR said it has confirmed that the wedding plans have been abandoned.
Isa Hackett, the daughter of late science fiction writer Philip K. Dick and an executive producer on Amazon's "The Man in the High Castle," went public with her charge that Price propositioned her during San Diego Comic-Con in 2015, THR reported.
Hackett accused Price of pressuring her to have sex, Variety magazine reported.
"Roy Price is on leave of absence effective immediately," Amazon said in a statement after news broke about Hackett's allegation in the midst of news about movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, per Reuters. "We are reviewing our options for the projects we have with The Weinstein Co."
Weinstein, one of the most powerful movie moguls in Hollywood, has been in a freefall since The New York Times and New Yorker magazine published articles detailing alleged sexual harassment and abuse charges against him.
Feinberg had planned on wearing a Marchesa gown designed by Georgina Chapman, the now estranged wife of Weinstein, Variety reported, who left him after his scandal exploded nationwide.
Chapman had been married to Weinstein for 10 years, the New York Post reported.
A day after Price's suspension, Amazon's vice president of business development Jeff Blackburn issued a memo to address harassment, per BuzzFeed News.
"Amazon does not tolerate harassment or abuse of our employees or our business partners," the memo said, per BuzzFeed News. "If a concern is brought to our attention, we investigate it quickly and thoroughly."
