Russell Crowe and Jimmy Fallon set "The Tonight Show" stage on fire Thursday with an impressive cover of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues."

The video of the two, with Crowe belting out a husky rendition of the song worthy of Cash and Fallon tearing up his harmonica, has gone viral.

Crowe jokingly introduced the song, saying, “Do you mind if we do an old Australian folk song?” When Fallon agreed, Crowe added, “By Johnny (long pause) Cash.”

Crowe was on the show to promote his latest movie, “Noah,” which opens Friday. But his bluesy tune possibly stole the limelight.

The Crowe-Fallon collaboration won over viewers online.

“Noah,” which cost $130 million to make, is opening amid concerns from the Christian community about the movie’s accuracy.

Film distributor Paramount started calling the movie “inspired” by the Bible rather than “the” Bible story to appease some of those with concerns. All the controversy, said Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker, just serves to create a “buzz” that rarely hurts a movie.

Parker liked the movie and said, “If you liked ‘Braveheart,’ ‘Gladiator,’ ‘Star Wars,’ ‘The Lord of the Rings,’ ‘Indiana Jones’ or ‘Titanic,’ you will like 'Noah.'” If you liked two or more of the above, you will love 'Noah.' Your enjoyment increases exponentially with each movie checked above, though I should warn that 'Titanic' made the cut for only one reason, the major difference between it and 'Noah' being obvious. 'Noah' also includes the essential love story or two, without which no story floats.”
